BeaconLight, Biblical training to share

The Apostle Paul probably wrote Ephesians during a two year prison stay in Rome (59-61AD), towards the end of his life. It was probably written at a similar time to his letters to the Colossians and Philemon. The wording in Ephesians 6:21-22 and Colossians 4:7-8, explains that Tychicus acts as the postman for both. The letter was probably intended to be shared with other churches of Asia Minor, including Ephesus as ‘Ephesus’ is not in the original manuscript.

Truth Unlocked

Truth Unlocked consists of 16 Bible studies which have been written primarily for Christians; for those who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and have chosen to live according to what the Bible teaches.

It will be of most benefit to new Christians to help them understand the essential truths revealed by God in the Bible.

We cannot live godly lives unless we understand Biblical truth and apply it as the foundation for our lives.

Inner Struggles

Life is a mixture of happiness and pain; of laughter and tears; of celebtration and grief; of soaring and crawling.

For some, life brings more joy than sorrow; for others, life is hard with only rare moments of real joy. For us all, there are times when we struggle.

This little book uses verses from the Bible as a means of offering hope and comfort to those who recognise their need of God's help in their struggles.

Can I forgive myself?

Where a person is feeling guilty and remorseful over a wrong done or mistake made, there is often a longing to know how they can forgive themselves. ‘Forgiving oneself’ is seen as the way of getting free from the pain of guilt.

This book is a straightforward Biblical response to that very question, ‘Can I forgive myself?’ It explains the need we all have of God’s forgiveness and how we can receive it.

Prayers From Inside

Prayers from Inside is a collection of short prayers in plain language for men and women in prison.

The prayers are supplemented by relevant Scripture passages and by an explanation of what it means to be a Christian.

Let's Rethink ... What is a Real Church?

What is a church?  Lots of people think churches are buildings, but the buildings are only the places where the real church meets.  In many parts of the world, the church often has no dedicated space to meet in.  They may worship under a shady tree, in a forest, in a cave, often in people’s homes, sometimes in a café.  But wherever they meet the church is ‘the people who God has called out’ from the world as a special people who belong to Him.

Necessary Struggles - Work

Many of us face problems with work.  We may be employed or self-employed, part or full time, with or without pay, seeking employment, retired or prevented by circumstances from being employed.

Work is important to us and it is important to God.  Following the Fall, God said this in Genesis 3:17-19

12 Ways to Miss the Point

Maths was never my strong point. But if (as Christian Research says) the church in the UK is in decline, it must be because there are fewer people born again each year than are leaving. Surely this is not good news for evangelicals, for whom the gospel is the ‘stuff of life’.
